Sydney, Australia, Gives Go Ahead On A$12.3 Million Non-Residential Solar Project

The  City Council of the City of Sydney, AU, has given the go ahead for one of the largest non-residential solar installation projects that the country has ever seen. This is a long-term project under which solar panels will be installed on 30 city properties over a period of the next five years.

Solar Plant Comes To Windsor Via SSC And HHV

Windsor, ON is poised to get its first solar panel manufacturing plant soon. Solar Source Corporation (SSC) has decided to create a polycrystalline silicon solar PV cell manufacturing plant in Windsor, ON. This will be a 45,000 sq. ft. plant that will be the beachhead investment in North America of both SSC and its manufacturing partner. The plant will be located near the Windsor International Airport.

7 Solar Technologies Find A Test Site Set Up By Chevron — Project Brightfield

Chevron, the second largest oil company in the US, has initiated what it calls Project Brightfield. It is a testing site for solar technologies located in Bakersfield, California, that has about 7,700 solar panels. It is going to be used for testing out seven different technologies that are related to making electricity from the sun.
