The official bracket for the College World Series was released Monday night, and LSU’s first-round matchup with Florida State is all set for prime-time on Saturday night.
The Tigers and the Seminoles will play in primetime on opening night of the College World Series, coming in as two of the hottest teams in the nation. Oregon State (54-4) will bring a 21-game win streak into the Bracket 1 afternoon game against Fullerton (39-22).
The Sunday doubleheader features the No. 7 national seed Louisville (52-10) vs. Texas A&M (41-21) at 1 p.m. (CT).
No. 3 national seed Florida (47-18), the last team to punch its ticket to the College World Series on Monday night, will face No. 6 seed TCU (47-16) at 6 p.m.in the second game on Sunday night. LSU also has a very good trio of starting pitchers in Alex Lange, Jared Poche’ and Eric Walker.
The losers of those two games will play at 11 a.m. PT on Monday, June 19 in an elimination game and the winners will play later that day at 4 p.m. PT. The second game is scheduled for 7 p.m. (CT) Tuesday, June 27, while the third and deciding game (if necessary) is slated for 7 p.m. (CT) Wednesday, June 28.
