‘Outraged’ Cristiano Ronaldo might quit Real Madrid over tax treatment

While the Portuguese superstar’s former club Manchester United are the favourites to re-sign Ronaldo, another Premier League club have now joined the queue for one of the best players in the world.

Ronaldo rocked Real Madrid on Friday by claiming he wants to leave Spain after being accused of a £13million tax fraud.

The Portugal worldwide shocked the world of football after declaring that he wants to leave Spain amid reports that he defrauded the Spanish taxman for £13million. United will reportedly pay £175 million as well as David De Gea in order to sign Ronaldo and beat off interest from PSG.

On Sunday, arguably the most outlandish transfer scoop was found in Italian daily Tuttosport, as they reported that Jose Mourinho was prepared to offer Real Madrid €210 million plus Spanish worldwide keeper David De Gea for Cristiano Ronaldo and Alvaro Morata.

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge denies that the German champions are preparing to launch a move for Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo.

Amid reports that Cristiano Ronaldo has chose to leave Real Madrid, manager Zinedine Zidane has contacted the star striker to convince him to remain at Santiago Bernabeu.

But Calderon – who brokered the deal to sign the Portugal worldwide from Manchester United in 2009 – has urged Madrid to do all they can to keep hold of a player who he says cannot be replaced.

Paris Saint-Germain are also believed to be weighing up a mammoth offer for Ronaldo but the 32-year-old icon prefers the Red Devils.

The deal appeared to have disappeared but United is now looking to use De Gea as a bargaining chip to get both Ronaldo and Morata to Old Trafford.

But now the Ronaldo news has meant there could be a big rethink about the next move.
