Monaco’s brilliant teenage striker Mbappe is a clear favourite with Perez and manager Zinedine Zidane.
Real Madrid have always been linked with a move to replace Zinedine Zidane’s current No.1 Keylor Navas, despite his impressive performances.
‘The players are very fond of Keylor and also the coach.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has suggested that the club will not make a move for Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea this summer.
The now 18-year-old has established himself as Milan’s first-choice keeper with a number of excellent displays over the last two years, but agent Mino Raiola says that the club have not been treating their young star “like an asset”. “Zidane’s liked him a lot for a while, but it’s not true we were close to signing him [a few years ago] because he still hadn’t turned 16”.
“As no other candidature was put forward to the board, it is proclaimed that Mr. Florentino Perez Rodriguez is president of Real Madrid“, said Real Madrid in a press release.
The 18-year-old has reportedly told AC Milan he will not be extending his contract which expires next summer and Madrid are thought to be in pole position for his signature.
“Everyone says he’s a great player, he’s going to be the substitute for Buffon”, Perez continued.
He added: “I am sure he will be one of the greats and we are following him”.
We’re talking player holidays, stag dos and sporting bans, and we even have Dion Fanning taking on the Lottoland Chipping Challenge.
. Why he wanted Gea before? “When [coach Zinedine] Zidane comes back, we will see what he thinks of Donnarumma’s case”.
And Manchester United stopper David De Gea has been mooted as the La Liga giants’ top target to fill in between the sticks.
A move for De Gea, for now it seems, is off the table though.
